  • 116 total events with a total of 53,767 tickets issued
  • 9,152 of our tickets were issued to patrons living 50+ miles away
  • 57% of ticket holders were first-time ticket buyers
  • 17% of first-time ticket buyers returned to the Theatre more than once

Community Support in 2021-2022

  • MBT was supported by 1,622 total donor households, businesses, & granting agencies
    • 995 new donors
    • 627 returning donors
      • 9 new sponsors
      • 37 returning sponsors
  • 88 volunteers donated a total of 2,913 hours
    • About 30 hours contributed per person
MBT's new Lookout Sessions Series brings audiences closer to some of the most dynamic and talented musicians on tour today in an intimate concert setting held in the Harold & Irene Walton Theatre.
 
 

Capital Improvements in 2021-2022

 
  • Installed HVAC Air Purification units in the HVAC system to improve air quality, $16K
  • Replaced three roof sections and repaired the tower gutter, $900K
    • MBT paid $330K for the repairs
    • City of Bellingham paid $570K for the repairs
  • Replaced Marquee Electronic Message Centers, $70K

  • Held 24 events for 11 local nonprofits free-of-charge for 548 attendees
  • Hosted the Whatcom Flood Relief Fundraiser
