Rhythm & Beauty
Join the Symphony as we open our 43rd season with the premiere of local composer Scott Henderson’s Cascadiana, a piece inspired by the majesty of our natural landscape and composed to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the North Cascades National Park. Then, we continue with Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7. We are thrilled to have internationally-renowned violinist and first Concertmaster of the Berliner Philharmoniker, Noah Bendix-Balgley, join us for this performance. Come celebrate the start of another incredible season!
A pre-concert lecture about the repertoire by Dr. Ryan Dudenbostel starts at 2:15. Admission is free, but these are very popular and seating is limited. More concert information can be found at whatcomsymphony.com.
