Hello Teachers, Educators, Families, and Friends!

Visiting the Mount Baker Theatre is an experience unlike  any other. When students walk through the theatre doors, they are taking part in the long-standing tradition of the performing arts, where they can escape into the worlds of music, theatre, and dance. For the 2024-2025 season we will be hosting performers who have traveled  the country, and some have even traveled the world! 

Now they are landing  here in Bellingham, Washington to share their stories with us. MBT is thrilled to offer students the opportunity to explore different subjects, cultures, and artistry in a safe, immersive, and memorable environment. Come and experience the power of live theatre, as it inspires and  empowers the next generation of theatre-goers. Tickets to all education shows are just $8, thanks to the generosity of our  Education Series Sponsor. 

For 21 consecutive years, the Wade Bennett King Education Series at Mount Baker Theatre has  been sponsored by the Frank King Family in memory of their son, Wade Bennett King, who loved the theatre. Frank and Mary King want to ensure the memory of Wade is kept alive by providing opportunities for other young people to be inspired by the performing arts.

In other exciting news, we are expanding beyond the Education Series to include more opportunities for students and teachers alike. Internships, professional development events, and spring & summer programming are in the works, and we’d love to keep you in the loop!
