Historic Venue Operations
MBT ignites imagination by presenting high-quality national tours, regional acts, and educational programming. Most of the ticket revenue goes to the artists and the direct expenses of their performance, so we rely on many other sources of support to keep the Theatre a vibrant part of your community!
The Historic Venue Operations (HVO) charge is a non-refundable charge on ticket transactions to support indirect costs like staffing, maintaining, and cleaning this historic venue.
If you would rather support these costs via tax-deductible donation, please consider becoming an MBT Member! Consider supporting MBT by joining at the level that best fits your enthusiasm for the arts! To show our gratitude for your contribution, we offer benefits for you to enjoy as a member such as waived HVO charges on ticket transactions.
Policies
Cancellation or Postponement of a Show
If an event is canceled or postponed, ticket holders will be contacted by Mount Baker Theatre directly (usually by email) with options, which may include: keeping seats for the rescheduled event date; exchanging tickets for a different event; applying tickets to account credit for future use; making a tax-deductible donation to support our non-profit theatre; or refunding of the value of tickets back to the original payment method.
Refund Policy
All sales are final. Please check your order thoroughly before making your purchase. There are no refunds on tickets, however, MBT Members may exchange the value of their tickets for an alternate performance or account credit by returning their tickets to the Box Office a minimum of one business day before the original performance. Refunds or exchanges may be conditionally offered for health and safety reasons at the discretion of Mount Baker Theatre.
The Historic Venue Operations (HVO) charge is a non-refundable charge on ticket transactions which helps pay for staffing and infrastructure, as well as the maintenance and cleaning of our nonprofit historic venue. The HVO charge is not eligible for a refund even in the event of a cancelation or postponement as the service covered is fulfilled at the time of original sale. We will not charge an extra fee for these further services.

Be Aware of Third-Party Ticket Re-Sellers
Mount Baker Theatre is a not-for-profit arts organization. The official website for our venue is www.MountBakerTheatre.com, and any purchases you make should be on a page that has mountbakertheatre.com in the web address.
We are aware that there are third-party broker websites that re-sell tickets to our shows at a substantial markup. MBT is not affiliated with these re-sellers.
If you feel you have been sold tickets fraudulently, you might be able to find redress by disputing the credit card charge and by contacting the Washington State Office of the Attorney General (www.atg.wa.gov).
To ensure that you are buying valid tickets at the correct price, we strongly recommend that you purchase directly through us in one of the ways listed on this page.
As part of our effort to combat this issue, the Box Office uses its discretion when mailing orders for high-profile events/artists and reserves the right to hold these orders at will call and to restrict ticket transfer privileges. Photo ID is required to collect will-call tickets. Patrons found to have re-sold their tickets for higher than face value may have their orders canceled and tickets voided without a refund and may be prevented from purchasing tickets through our venue in the future.
